π΅ It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas π΅... Florida style! Which means that the snowmen are made of sand! But wherever we are ... we are grateful to look back and celebrate the musical and magical Christmas moments of 2019!
We began our year in MedellΓn, Colombia on the feast of the Three Kings. There we found a Christmas season that is celebrated until the end of January. Let it snow π΅ as the children enjoyed the play area in the mall complete with festive decorations, a skating rink, and real snow!
Returning back to Florida in early May, we felt like Mary and Joseph trying to find a place in the inn ... only we were trying to find our new home in a van. Baby Minne Beest has proved to be more fun than a one horse open sleigh π΅ as we headed up to Minnesota for the summer months.
Surprisingly, it was quite easy to adjust to our new smaller surroundings. We quickly realized that what we gave up in space, we made up for in flexibility. The journey has become as fun as the destination. We had a holly, jolly π΅ time in Rochester and Minneapolis visiting family and friends as well as biking and exploring a brewery or two.
But the greatest gift of all was being able to be with and support my sister and her husband during his final days here on earth. God's grace was truly present during that silent night, holy nightπ΅
In late September, we began our van meanderings south through South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. We found out that baby, it's cold outside π΅ when getting up before dawn to experience the magic of the Albuquerque Balloon fiesta.
We arrived in Florida in plenty time to deck the halls π΅ with my friend Tami in Panama City.
After that it was over the rivers and through the woods π΅ to be with Doug's family in Ocala at Thanksgiving. In early December, we spent time on the Atlantic coast of Florida. From Jacksonville to Key West there were hints of Christmas ... Florida style!
Do you see what we see? π΅
Deck the beaches with elegant sand castles, Fa La La La La π΅ |
O lemon tree, O lemon tree, how lovely is your fruit π΅ |
All Doug wants for Christmas is a good IPA π΅ (and a coaster) |
Hang a shiny star upon the highest palm π΅ |
Nine santas running π΅ |
All is calm, All is bright π΅ |
Oh come, Oh come, Emmanuel π΅ |
With Christmas approaching ...
Visions of family time ... dance in our heads π΅ as we head back to celebrate with Doug's folks. |
While we miss our two sons and our grand-puppy resting by an open fire π΅ |
It is a blessing to be Home for the Holidays π΅ wherever our ''home'' may be. |
May you experience Gloria in Excelsis Deo π΅ moments at Christmas and in the New Year!
Thank you for your friendship, kindness, and support during the past year! We appreciate you following along with RVentures.
We Wish You a Merry Christmas π΅π΅
Wishing you both a merry Christmas from Kathy and Marc.
