Merry Christmas,
from the desert sands of Tucson, Arizona!
While the lack of snow leaves us merely “dreaming of a white Christmas,” the distant mountain views still invite us to “go tell it on the mountain” as we send you, dear friends, our warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas.
Following months of incredible (and occasionally challenging) RV travel, we've chosen to welcome winter at a slower pace. As the days grow shorter, we’re happily settling in and soaking up all the sun and fun that we possibly can during a two month stay at Far Horizons RV Resort, the winter hangout of longtime RV friends Joanne and Gary.
Here, the snowmen sport a snazzy southwestern decor,
Mother Nature lights up her own colorful Christmas lights each evening,
laughter abounds during the “retirement community” holiday shenanigans,
and friendships become the season’s most treasured gifts.
Though the current desert landscape may not feel particularly Christmas-like, our hearts are full of gratitude for the countless ways Christmas joy has filled our hearts and our lives throughout 2025.
For the family gathering as we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary,
for weddings, graduations, and everyday celebrations with family and friends who always welcome us "home",
for all the many miles of beautiful scenery and amazing adventures,
and for the chance to slow down and enjoy the delicate desert blooms along our walking path.
As Christmas finds us once again in the desert at one of our favorite "campgrounds",
our hearts are grateful for the joy that continues to color our days.
For the chance to attend a world class hand bell concert,
and a magical Christmas pageant at a local church.
For the colorful Christmas cacti that adorn our neighborhood,
and light displays that illuminate our path during our nightly walks.
For the chance to laugh with friends during holiday gatherings,
and to enjoy the wonder and joy of little ones as they wait for the greatest gift of all.
While we'll always treasure those precious Christmas memories of old ... those special ornaments and decorations, holiday bake-a-thons, and joyful family gatherings,
we’re equally thankful for the gift of each other and the journey we share.
Wherever you find yourself this season ... surrounded by family, gathered with friends, or charting a quieter path, may your days be filled with happiness, peace, and joy.
Merry Christmas
๐๐๐๐๐๐
and Happy New Year!
